I add senior marketing bandwidth at the right moment, for the project. That might mean coming in at the strategy stage to shape the direction, rolling up my sleeves to help execute, or simply being the experienced outside perspective your team needs to make a confident decision.
The right experience, at the right moment.

I bring the strategy and the hands-on execution. When the scope calls for additional support, I know exactly who to call.
After 20 years in this industry I've built a network of trusted collaborators across product, campaign and event disciplines, who know this world as well as I do. When I bring them in, there's no ramp up. We speak the same language and we get to work.

Products, campaigns and events. The three key opportunities for brands to connect with their community.
I've had the privilege of working across all three, developing products, running campaigns and building events at brands like Smith Optics, Helly Hansen and Cascade Designs. I know what it takes to do each one well, and more importantly I know how they work together.

What I do
What I do
It's about connecting the audience to the experience on a personal level, whether that's relatable, aspirational, or somewhere in between. The best campaigns are a collection of specific touchpoints intended to meet the audience where they are. I work with brands to develop strategies that are clear about what they're trying to accomplish and where in the consumer journey they're playing. From there it's about activation, making sure the content and creative are built specifically for the channel.
Events that are designed to bring a community together around something they genuinely love to create a connection that no campaign can replicate. I work with brands to develop event strategies that are clear about their purpose, whether that's a consumer event, a trade activation, an athlete program, or a retail partnership, and make sure every element is working together to leave people feeling more connected to each other and to the brand.
I work with brands at the strategy and positioning stage, digging into consumer insights to make sure the product and the marketing story are informing each other from the start. From there I help shape the go-to-market plan, develop the sell-in tools, and support the launch from brief through delivery.
Good product marketing starts with one question…what are we trying to solve?

At Cascade Designs, I led the development of a new tradeshow booth for Outdoor Retailer, one of the most important stages in the outdoor industry calendar. The objective was to build a space that told the cohesive story of Cascade Designs as a parent company while giving each owned brand, MSR, Therm-a-Rest and Platypus, dedicated space to come to life on their own terms. It required genuine cross-functional collaboration across sales, marketing and product development teams, and the creative challenge of showcasing an incredibly diverse product range, from MSR snowshoes and camp stoves to Therm-a-Rest sleeping pads and Platypus hydration packs, within a single unified environment. The result was a booth that felt like one brand family rather than a collection of separate businesses.
The best outdoor events aren't activations. They're gatherings.
A great campaign isn't about forcing product.

At Smith Optics, I led the development of Bike category. The brand was known primarily as a snow goggle and eyewear company with a small selection of cycling accessories. Over four years we built it into a category leader in the US market through product development, athlete partnerships and marketing that resonated deeply with a rapidly growing group of avid cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts.

One of my proudest campaign moments was the launch of the Smith Mainline bike helmet. I led the product development of the helmet in collaboration with athletes Jesse Melamed, Remi Gauvin and Andréane Lanthier Nadeau of the the Rocky Mountain Enduro Team involved from the earliest stages. When it came time to launch, the campaign featured the athletes and Smith's product engineers working together in a way that was both authentic and entertaining. The content suite included an inspirational riding film, a technical product video, a hybrid of both, and a full suite of feature-specific cutdowns deployed across the length of the launch. It was one of Smith's most successful and engaging product launches to date.

Tell me what you're working on, where you want to go, or what's been on your mind. A good conversation is all it takes to get started.

If there's a potential fit I'll outline what an engagement could look like and what you can expect.
