Jackson Goldstone is one of the most exciting athletes in mountain biking right now, and the OneUp Goldstone Grips are the result of him working directly with the OneUp engineering team from the very first sketches. That backstory alone got my attention. After putting them through their paces on the trails around Anacortes, I came away with a genuine appreciation for what athlete-driven design can produce, and some honest observations about who these are really for.

Tools for discovery

My Point of view

Tools for discovery

Why do we head outside? For me it's about the joy of the experience. There's a youthful excitement about running or riding through the woods, where all the senses work together to create a harmony of sounds, smells, feelings and visuals that only nature can offer. To move through it is magical.

The brands I admire most understand something fundamental: the equipment they make are tools for discovery. And the campaigns they build, whether educational or inspirational, are what connect those tools to the community. When those two things work together, a bond forms and together, we share in those magical moments.
